A Little Bit about Our Cakes and Dessert Squares
To create yummy Tea Cakes, Specialty Cakes, Fruitcakes, Dessert Squares and Delicious granola from scratch, we start with only the finest fruits, nuts, grains and natural ingredients. We first look to our local farmers and producers to ensure your food gifts are produced with all natural ingredients, with absolutely no preservatives. After all, why give a gift full of chemicals, additives, preservatives and sugar when you can give a cake or dessert gift with all the natural goodness nature provides.
We use organic, local Vermont-made ingredients whenever possible including: maple syrup from trees a mile from the bakery, apple cider from Greensboro, butter from Cabot, eggs from Hardwick, honey from Ferrisburg and cranberries from East Fairfield.
All these local ingredients come from family-owned farms. Our cakes do NOT include any of the ingredients found in many other teacakes, fruitcakes, dessert squares and specialty cakes: NO invert sugars, NO hydrogenated soybean oil, NO high fructose corn syrup, NO corn syrup solids, NO artificial flavors, NO red #40 and NO blue #1
