Ingredients
Our Apple Cider Cake is made with tender loving care, the old-fashioned way, and oozes the flavor and texture of home-baked goodies from days of yore. We start out with flour made from local red winter wheat that we buy from Vermont’s own Nitty Gritty Grain Company. We then add butter that is sourced from Cabot Creamery, a Vermont dairy farm. Next, we add free range eggs that we buy from an area farm, and then add in locally processed apple cider with the same methods Vermonters have been using for centuries. To the mix, we bring in our high quality raisins, golden raisins, currants, pineapple, pecans, walnuts, and orange and lemon peel, with the right amount of brown sugar and hand-ground spices that we source from a local cooperative. We top that off with a heaping helping of homespun love, then bake to perfection in our bakery ovens before it makes its way to your table.
