Like all of the baked goods that we create here in our Greensboro, Vermont, bakery, your Golden Jewel Cake is made using locally sourced ingredients. We begin by stirring up flour ground from red winter wheat from Nitty Gritty Grain, a Vermont company. Next, we stir in Sunshine Acres’ free range eggs, then butter from Vermont’s local Cabot Creamery. Into the mix, we add our dried fruits: apricots, pineapple, raisins, figs, cranberries, coconut and orange peel. Next comes freshly harvested almonds and walnuts. Lastly, we add just the right amount of Bacardi Gold Rum before gently placing your Golden Jewel Cake into the oven. Once baked to golden perfection, we package and send it from our door to yours.
